Covalence WPC -C50 is a wraparound heat-shrinkable sleeve, ready-to-fit assemblies for the corrosion protection of field girth weld joints in distribution and transmission systems specially suitable for higher stress conditions caused both by elevated temperatures and by soils with severe contraction between wet-dry cycles
 
It consists of
First Layer: Visco-elastic adhesive sealant
Second Layer: Radiation cross-linked, high density polyethylene with PCI - Permanent Change Indicator.

Applications:

These products are based on a two-layer system and are normally used for PE-coated steel pipe, and may be used for girth-weld protection or to re-coat (rehabilitate) long pipe sections and large radius bends.
  • Girthweld Joints of  Pipelines with Operating temperature up to 60° C (140° F)
  • To recoat ( rehabilitate) long pipe sections and large radius bends
  • Compatible with all commonly used pipe coatings, including: PE, Coal Tar Enamel, Tape and FBE (Fusion Bonded Epoxy)
