2000(2036)/2055 High Shear

2000(2036)/2055 High Shear
Adhesives: Adhesive: Butyl Rubber & Resins
Total Thickness: 25 mil/layer
Category: Pipeline Coatings
Polyken 2000/2055 and 2036/2055 are PE/Butyl pipe coating systems. The 2036 differs from the 2000 only in the size of the rolls.  The system consists of three layers:
  1. A liquid adhesive (primer) layer consisting of anti corrosion elastomers and inhibitors
  2. An inner anti corrosion layer with High Shear butyl alloy adhesive
  3. An outer mechanical protection layer specially designed for elevated soil stress conditions

Applications:

  • Ideal for girth welds, bends, Ts & odd shapes
  • Reconditioning or Bell Hole Rehabilitation
  • Plant applied and over the ditch (In situ)
  • For small, hand or wrapster applications on pipes which will be buried in conditions of elevated soil stress conditions & temperature upto 93°C  (200°F).

Features & Benefits:

Shear resistant up to 93°C (200° F). Compatible with all other coating systems
Safe for wide spectrum of conditions
